The Canterbury Center

Prior to our purchase, the center, previously known as the LAURO Club, was one of the best know, small resorts on the island, and after our purchase and renovation it is now one of the two most desirable vacation spots in the country. From our sea view bar to our forty-foot swimming pool, from the steps of our chapel to the steps of your own cottage bedroom, the Canterbury Center is a Caribbean Garden of Eden waiting for you.

Our Mission

Simply stated - If you do not use it you will lose it, and even worse, you forget what it even feels like. It is very difficult today to simply be a good Christian person. We are all pushed into adopting positions for or against things. Many of us have forgotten that we are allowed to laugh, dance, have a drink and be happy. Today many seem to have lost the simple ability to reverently worship our Father in heaven and thank him for the joy our life here on earth through the works we do in his name. In effect, the words 'The Glory God is man fully alive' seem to have lost their meaning.

Well, we are like a Christian health club - and invite you to come and exercise yours faith. No tambourines, no hands waving in the air, just peace, reverence, dignity and the sure and certain knowledge that Jesus was not simply being poetic when he said; 'That which you have done for the least of mine you have done unto me.'
